We have recently launched a brand new project entitled 'Not Ready Yet!' which aims to help support those aged 50+ who are facing the prospect of early retirement for any number of reasons, through redundancy or changes in health. We envisage the project being split into two camps - those who want to return to the workplace and may be looking at retraining or refreshing their skills and those who are fully embracing the retirement option, but are looking for activities which will help to keep them active or social.
Most of our volunteers will be on the social/active side of things so you may be required to escort members on a walk or social trips around the local area. You may be asked to lead a workshop on gardening, DIY or cooking if you have particular skills to share. We are keen to hear from people who may have skills in the following areas: Digital/Social Media Financial Advice HR Setting up your own business We also have minibuses as part of the scheme, so driving duties may be required at times (training can be provided).
