DIAL West Cheshire, is an information and advice centre primarily for people with disabilities and older persons needing help with a range of issues such as benefits, discrimination and transport. DIAL House is a registered charity.
As well as offering an advice and information service DIAL also has a café which serves a wide range of snacks and hot meals 6 days a week.
Dial House Café is a busy, thriving city centre café providing a range of home made snacks and hot meals to regular customers and visitors. The Assistant Cook will be expected to prepare food from scratch and work as part of a team.
Dial is committed to developing volunteers through training and personal development.
Volunteers are required to help prepare and serve cooked meals, beverages and snacks in a busy community café based within an information and advice centre for people with disabilities. You will also assist in supporting other volunteers some of whom may have learning disabilities.
You must be able to cook and have experience of operating a range of kitchen equipment. An understanding of food hygiene would be an advantage. Good communication skills and a supportive manner would also be useful.
