The Podiatry Service is looking to recruit volunteers to help and assist Podiatrists in a number of community clinics in the Chester and rural areas:  Lache, Broughton, Tarporley and Malpas.  Podiatry interventions are used to assess a persons foot and general health and treat skin and nail conditions as well as other disorders affecting mobility and foot function.  Also, Podiatrists have a role in preventing foot problems, promote self-care and foot health education.  Volunteers help set up clinics, maintain a clean clinical environment, meet and greet, help patients in the clinical building, helping with advice, information and educational literature.

Caring disposition, good communication skills and a friendly approachable manner.  An essential skill is that volunteers are reliable to help with the smooth running of the clinic.
