An opportunity for volunteers with skills or an interest in cooking and baking. CWP would like to recruit a volunteer to facilitate cooking and baking classes for service users, supported by the Activity Coordinators and Unit Nursing staff. The unit delivers client centred, high quality and responsive care based upon assessment of individualised health needs. Activities can be tailored to an individual's needs or provided as a group. Therapeutic activities are organised to give pleasure and useful experiences to the clients at the Health Unit.
Volunteers can provide either basic or general cookery courses to interest the clients. If you have an interest in baking and cooking or have previously taught either of these subjects and would like to pass on these skills to other people this role will suit you. Activities will take place at week-ends or evenings and are subject to Criminal Record Check (DBS). This is a very rewarding role.
Volunteers interested in cookery or baking and enjoy passing on skills to other people and helping them. An interest in working with people with Learning Disabilities. Good communication skills with a friendly approachable manner Reliable
The activity takes part in the Wharton area of Winsford.
Applicants will have an interview first to introduce them to the unit and to confirm their interest in the volunteer role prior to completing the application form or the DBS check.
