Suitable for under 18s

Reliable volunteers required to help in teams of three on the vans acting as a Drivers Mate. The volunteer Drivers mate helps with the picking up of donated furniture from houses, moving furniture between the warehouse and hospice shops and the delivery of furniture and goods bought in the hospice shops. It is a busy interesting role with lots to do. Volunteers are required to do lifting and carrying and this includes small and large furniture. Most of the collections are done during the week but the warehouse is also open on Saturdays from 10.00 to 2.00pm.  If Drivers Mates have a licence and are over the age of 25 they can do driving but this is not essential and the main role is for a drivers mate to help with the removals, not necessary driving. It is essential that you are happy to work in a small team. Most volunteers come in for one or two days per week.
The warehouse are happy for you to come in try a taster day/session to see if you would like to volunteer with them.
