About the opportunity
NWAA are often invited to attend community events, such as Steam Fairs, County Shows, and Motorbike rally’s, as well as local village festivals at venues across the region. By ensuring we have a presence at the diverse number of events which take place up and down the country, we are able to engage with the general public to raise awareness as to the work of NWAA and raise much needed money through collection buckets and the selling of merchandise to ensure we are able to maintain the essential helicopter emergency medical service.
Events come in all different shapes and sizes, our volunteers might be cheering on supporters taking part in a challenge event one week, raising awareness and collecting money another and taking part in one of our exciting roadshows the next. These events can take place on any day of the week with a vast number taking place in the evening and at the weekend.
Our fundraising volunteers are vital to raising awareness and the funds needed to keep North West Air Ambulance operational. There are a variety of roles available within events, we have listed possible specialisms in this document however this list is not exhaustive. If you have a particular skill, hobby or interest you think would be beneficial to NWAA please let us know.
