Gardeners help to look after a quarter acre plot, close to the town centre.  Volunteers help with the growning of fruit, vegetables and flowers.  Gardeners can help with all the activities, they can help others garden or they can help to sell produce to the community and public.  Activities include weeding, planting, watering, potting on, pruning, digging and harvesting. Some knowledge of gardening and growing techniques would be very useful, but it is not essential.  Able to get on with other people helping in the garden.  Willing to learn and help with tasks.  Informal discussion. We are open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10-2pm throughout the year.  While there why not enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee served from the park café.  The café is open from 10am-2pm and right next door to the allotment gates.

Location: Whitby Park is situated close to the town centre off Stanney Lane.  The garden is situated behind the Lodge House and out buildings close to the bowling green.

Only registered members can apply for opportunities.
