Suitable for under 18s

Do you have writing talents? Are you self motivating and can you plan interviews, identify what is interesting or relevant and worth recording? Would you like to help an organisation record its history through the characters who set up the heritage trust and have volunteered for many years.
If you would like to get involved in this project and spend time recording their stories, plus the stories and history of this heritage site, you can work in a flexible way, booking time to talk to people and type up the information in your own time on site or at home.
This is an interesting volunteer role and would suit a volunteer that is interested in history, likes writing, aspires to do some serious writing or is already involved in writing. You need to be flexible but capable of working alone and driving the project along.

Good accurate listening skills.
Good writing skills, able to capture the feelings, humour and interest stories from speakers.
Some IT skills would be useful to keep accurate accounts of the conversations.
Self motivating, able to plan interviews, set time aside for writing out accounts and typing up details.

Griffin Trust is off the the M53 junction 6 between Hooton and Eastham.  There is no direct bus route to the site and needs car or bike transport.

Only registered members can apply for opportunities.
