This is a great opportunity to learn the skills and functions of a busy office and reception area. Working as part of a team you will report to the Administration Manager. As an Office Administrator you will help to ensure that the office and reception operations are efficient and effective.
Your main duties will include:
- Answering telephones and taking messages
- Invoicing customers
- Office administration and use of databases
- Maintain quality standards and adhere to Health and Safety policies/procedures
This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is willing to support their colleagues. Computer skills are important as well as good customer skills (although training can be provided).
A DBS Check will be required for this role
Inductions are provided and will include an introduction to key staff, a tour of the premises, information on manual handling techniques and safeguarding and Health and Safety advice. On the job training will be provided along with a rolling programme of accredited training available in-house and external training opportunities can also be accessed where appropriate to the role. It is anticipated that this role will involve a 1/2 day commitment. Support and supervision will be provided at regular intervals.
Regarding disabled facilities, there are disabled toilets, ground level access and some disabled parking provided.
Reasonable travel expenses will be paid and a hot lunch can be provided (if your volunteer role involves more than 4 hours).
