Do you enjoy working with and meeting people? Do you have good customer service skills and would you enjoy the prospect of working within a busy retail team? If you have lots of enthusiasm, even if you have little practical experience of retail, this role could be for you.
Working with a team of passionate volunteers and staff on a busy retail floor, you will play an important role in delivering a great customer experience to customers that visit a local charity retail shop. This is a varied role, as no day is ever the same as the last, giving your the opportunity to develop a host of skills with the full support of the team. Working as a team you will make a valuable contribution by:
- Meeting and greeting customers
- Accepting donated stock and introducing Gift Aid
- Helping customers to purchase items with stock rotation/ merchandising and general housekeeping
- Helping to monitor customer activities to ensure stock is secure
You do not need any previous experience or skills, simply lots of enthusiasm and motivation and have time to spare on a regular basis. In return, you will learn or develop great customer service skills, develop and gain retail experience and work with like minded people who already work with or volunteer with the charity. Not to mention, you will have fun and get to meet new friends whilst gaining the satisfaction of making a valuable contribution to a national charity at a local level.
