Suitable for under 18s

Working alongside existing volunteers and staff members to deliver a wide range of sessions for young carers in a safe and fun environment.  Sessions that we have run in the past year have included art, drama, trips to the cinema, healthy living and sexual health sessions, quizzes, a juggling workshop session, trips abroad and also camping in the UK. This is a great opportunity to enhance your skills and build up your experience which could help you if you wished to volunteer as a session leader or a mentor.

Volunteers are responsible for the supervision and safety of young people attending the sessions.

Although most of the sessions take place in the evening, during school holidays, there may be sessions running through the day, every day, although you will not necessarily be required to do every session. Volunteers must be min of 18 years old.

Young Carers would be unable to function without the time and effort that is given by our many volunteers. Volunteers undertake a wide variety of roles within the project, and with any of our volunteering roles, there is no minimum or maximum time commitment, although we do ask to be informed if volunteers are unable to come along to an agreed session. DBS check required

Only registered members can apply for opportunities.
