This is an empowering role for individuals that wold like to assist disabled people have more control over how their care and support package is delivered.

Volunteers will work closely with our Arrangement for Care & Support Advisors and will be supporting individuals in the community to draft a Personalised Support Plan, outlining how they wish to utilise their personal budget to meet the identified outcomes.

This is a great role for those with experience themselves of going through the support planning process, or for those that want to look at a career in H&S Care.

Volunteers should have :

  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to listen and communicate to a high standard; both verbally and in writing and to disseminate information in an easily understood and appropriate format
  • The ability to work with disabled people
  • Be self motivated and empathetic

Volunteers can expect a full induction and role specific training and their expenses reimbursed

Minimum Age:16+

A DBS check is required for this role and will be completed by CCIL (Cheshire Centre for Independent Living)
